Cagdas Ungor is a lecturer at Marmara University’s Department of Political Science and International Relations in Istanbul. Ungor received her Ph.D. from the History Department at the State University of New York, Binghamton with a specialty in Chinese modern history (2009). She holds a B.Sc. degree in International Relations (Middle East Technical University, 1998) and a M.A. degree in Cultural Studies (Istanbul Bilgi University, 2004). Her research interests include Chinese political history, Sino-Turkish exchanges and international relations in East Asia. Ungor has advanced knowledge of English and Chinese, besides her native Turkish.
