Emma Scott is an Affiliate Researcher to the Centre of Chinese Studies, Stellenbosch University, South Africa. She has published in the China Brief of the Jamestown Foundation, World Politics Review, and Lobelog. She obtained a Research Master 2 in Geopolitics: Territorial Stakes and Conflict Rivalries from the French Institute of Geopolitics, Paris 8 University, and two postgraduate certificates with distinctions, one in Geopolitical Analysis of Powers, and one in International Relations and Conflict Analysis, from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. Emma obtained her first Master in Humanitarian Action from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands during which time she spent a semester as an Honorary Research Fellow in Monash Asia Institute, Monash University, Australia. Emma has also a followed a course in the Principles of Economics with SAIS, John Hopkins, and has a BA in Politics with Law.
